Until 1955, the sisters were guided by - and reported to - the Provincial Superior in Sisters of the Holy Cross (Menzingen) in Quilon, India. In 1955, Mother Alosiya was appointed as the first Provincial Superior of Sri Lankan Province, who served until 1973. In 1977 she returned to Switzerland and died in the peace of our Lord in 1991, at the age of 88.
